Conference 2007
Callum Lumsden has accepted an invitation to take part in a forum
to debate "2020 vision: museums and the new world order" at the
Museums Association Conference on Tuesday 23rd October at 9.30am.
Callum will be outlining his vision for the future of retail and
how this will impact visitors to museums and galleries and the
institutions themselves.
He will be appearing alongside professor John Lennon, Director
of Moffat Institute, Glasgow Caledonian University, Steve Inch,
Director of regeneration, Glasgow Council and Brendan Dick, Director
of BT Scotland who will also be discussing the topic from their
special perspective.
The Museum Association's annual conference and exhibition is the
largest museum and gallery event in the UK, with over 1,000 museum
and gallery professionals coming together to discuss the key issues
affecting the sector. The conference is at the Scottish Exhibition
and Conference Centre, Glasgow from Monday 22nd to Wednesday 24th

London Transport Museum
Product Design
As well as the design of the new shop and café, Lumsden
Design Partnership were commissioned to design a range of products
and posters using the design heritage of London Transport which
are on sale in the new shop.

D&AD Global Awards
Callum Lumsden, the MD of Lumsden Design Partnership, is delighted
to have been nominated again to be on the judging panel for this
years D&AD Global Awards in the Environmental Design category.
The D&AD Global Awards offer the creative community the opportunity
to be judged by its harshest critics – its peers. The awards
are judged by over 270 eminent creative practitioners selected for
their expertise in their field. This years awards dinner and ceremony
will be held at Old Billingsgate on May 24th. For more information

London’s Transport Museum
On 30th March the new London Transport Museum shop in the heart
of Covent Garden opened its doors with a ground breaking new look.
Café, retail and product design as well as the “London
Life” poster commission for the 2007 restoration project.
